is vital to your success whether you are currently job seeking or simply
looking to meet new people in town.

networking has evolved with new technologies and social networks - it’s not
just cocktail hours and handing out business cards. There are new “tools of the
trade”, and these folks have truly mastered networking in the Web 2.0 age. Join

Jacob currently works as a career
consultant with Lee Hecht Harrison, a global outplacement firm that provides
career coaching to individuals who have recently been impacted by a company downsizing.
Her strengths include recruiting, HR and business development, so whether she’s
running a university recruiting program, coaching career seekers or building
relationships with new customers, she credits her personal success to core
networking principals.
Miller is a senior recruiting coordinator
within University Relations at Nationwide Insurance. In this capacity, she runs
the Nationwide Internship Program, so she is connecting and networking with
potential candidates daily through various vehicles. She also serves as the
president of the Nationwide Gen Y Associate Resource Group, leading
Nationwide’s young professional movement.
DeCastro, as a senior account executive,
supports various local clients, including the City of Gahanna, Franklin Park Conservatory and the
Fraternal Order of Eagles. Through her work, she has gained a deep
understanding of how to develop strategic methods for generating high-volume
awareness on a limited budget – particularly through the use of social media. She
is also actively involved with the Central Ohio chapter of the Public Relations
Society of America (PRSA), and was recently named Central Ohio PRSA’s Rising
Star of Public Relations in 2009.
Riggs is a local expert on communication
and social Web strategies with a true passion for connecting people with people
and promoting genuine and transparent communication. He is often interviewed by
business publications for his opinions on social Web trends, and regularly speaks to local, regional and national
audiences on a variety of business communication and social Web topics. His
background and experiences will fuel this conversation.
